How To Easy Ways To Bypass Access Government Blocked Internet

This, in turn, requires the use of technical censorship methods that are unique to the Internet, such as site blocking and content filtering. In November 2007, "Father of the Internet" Vint Cerf stated that he sees government control of the Internet failing because the Web is almost entirely privately owned.
If you also feel stifled by the blocked websites then here are some ways to access blocked websites:
How to access blocked websites — 10 useful Ways

1. Use VPN

VPN or Virtual Proxy Network allows you to connect your device to a secure connection to another network over the internet. VPN enables you to access blocked websites from your home network and puts your IP address in a land far away. You can also download the apps or open the sites blocked in your country.

VPN acts as a tunnel that converts your data into garbage value that’s difficult for anyone to sniff and recognize. There are tons of free/cheap VPN services that one can use and enjoy an uninterrupted internet experience.

If you are into exploring ways to enhance your computer security, you can also go for the deadly combination of TOR and VPN.

Check out our detailed article on what is VPN and how it works. Here are some great VPN packages for you to try.
2. Become Anonymous: Use Proxy Websites

Very often, in a professional environment, the employers draw certain boundaries, restricting your the access to some particular websites. At times, you need a way to access the blocked websites and in those situations, proxy websites act as a rescue method.

On the web, there are hundreds of proxy websites that make your web experience ‘unrestricted’. A proxy website becomes a moderator between the user and server site. The proxy website camouflages the blocked site from the ISPs and allows you to access blocked websites. To get a proxy website for any blocked site, just perform the Google search.

Eg: Facebook Proxy Server. In case, Facebook is blocked in your institution, or you can go to —

http://www.spysurfing.com/
https://www.hidemyass.com/

3. Use IP Rather Than URL

The blocked website sometimes are stored as a list of URLs and using IP of the website might work in few of the cases. To get the IP address for any website, you do a ping domain.com command in Command Prompt. Using IP is a simple way to access blocked websites in your region. However, if the website had hidden its IP too, then it won’t open with this method.

All you need to do is run CMD on your computer. Now type “ping www.websitename.com” and press Enter. This will promptly return the IP address. Now enter this IP address in your web browser’s address bar and hit Enter.

4. Change Network Proxy In Browsers

Your college or institute might be having more than one proxy for its network. So, it happens that some websites are restricted on one proxy, but accessible in another. So, you can give a try to proxy surfing to access blocked websites in your college.

Disabling the network proxy settings in our web browsers isn’t a tough task. You just need to find the connections/network option in the settings of your web browser. There, you can select the no proxy option or use another one that’s providing unrestricted browsing at your institution.

5. Use Google Translate

Institutes or even countries sometimes don’t ban Google Translate. So, you can bypass the restriction by converting the blocked website into some other language that you may know. Try Google Translate and see for yourself. It is yet another simple way to access blocked websites.

You can also use Microsoft’s Bing translation service to unblock a banned website.

6. Bypass via Extensions

If the websites that are blocked by your institute or office are dynamic in nature such as Facebook or YouTube, then you should give a try to these extensions. Hola and ProxMate are some extensions that you can use to access blocked websites.

7. URL recasting

There are instances when a particular website is hosted in VPN and it doesn’t have a verified SSL installed. For such websites, you can simply go to the address bar of your web browser and try typing https://www.url.com, instead of accessing www.url.com or http://www.url.com. This change might display a security notice. Press on the Proceed Anyway option and visit the website.

8. Replace your DNS Server

We’ve already discussed this method under a separate topic named DNS Hack. You can simply use this method and bypass the blockade. This method generally involves using Google DNS or OpenDNS for accessing the internet. Here are the detailed steps on the same.

9. Go to Internet Archive — Wayback Machine

Wayback Machine is an interesting service that stores a copy of most of all website on the internet. It saves multiple versions of a website and you can use it to access the past versions of a website. The users can also use it to browse the blocked content online.

10. Use RSS Feed

RSS readers are useful for getting the fresh content and reading them with ease. You can grab the RSS feed of the blocked website and add it to your reader. Just in case that website doesn’t have an RSS feed, there are some useful online services to create the feed.

These are some of the most effective and easy to use methods to circumvent the censorship that has been put on your favorite websites. Let us know which one do you prefer to access blocked websites in your region.

The Ways To Access The Internet When The Government Blocks It

Method 1 -
Satellite internet is one option, but not all that cost effective in most respects.
In the case of Egypt, WikiLeaks was kind enough to provide a free dial-in service:
Dial-Up Internet in Egypt +33172890150 (login 'toto' pass 'toto')
if you DO have the internet and you just need to circumvent a firewall type protection, then TOR is the way to go:

http://www.torproject.org/

Method 2 -
If it's DNS that is shut down, (I'm in the middle east so these might be slightly faster than the servers in the US if they are using load balancing)

Facebook: 69.63.181.12
Gmail: 209.85.153.83
Twitter:  128.121.146.100

You can get Tor by email as well. From a Gmail or Yahoo mail account send windows to bundle anywhere in the body of the email to get tor AT torproject.org . For bridges send get bridges to the same.
There are also bundles for OSX and Linux avaliable.

Method 3 -
You can either use a proxy website or VPN software or try to access blocked a website by using its IP address or mobile version it may work sometimes.

I only prefer Hotspot Shield free VPN if I want to access Government blocked websites as it is fast, free and provides unlimited bandwidth.

Facebook will prioritize webpages with faster loading speeds in News Feed

It’s a fact that Google takes into consideration website loading time to rank them on the search engine. And let’s face it. A slow website sucks. Nobody wants to hang around these days if a website is a slouch. That is what Facebook just noticed and they are going to make some changes accordingly on their social platform.
In a Facebook blog post, two executives informed users that they were collecting feedback to improve the News Feed. The blog post further read, “We’ve heard from people that it’s frustrating to click on a link that leads to a slow-loading web page. In fact, even more broadly on the internet, we’ve found that when people have to wait for a site to load for too long, they abandon what they were clicking on all together.”
Almost half of the visitors or 40% of them leave a blog if it doesn’t load within 3 seconds. So, in the upcoming months, Facebook will start showing stories that will load earlier and fewer posts that are slow. To achieve this, Facebook will monitor load times of a page. To do this, the user’s network connection and the page which is being loaded will be observed. If Facebook feels a page is fast, then links to that page will rank better in users feeds compared to slower ones.
The above-mentioned changes will be affected via an update that will be pushed in the upcoming months

Updated Google Earth app for iOS brings new features like Voyager, 3D View and more

Google Earth was left deserted in the Play Store for a long time until April this year. Google finally decided to give it some much-needed attention. That was a major update in 2 years. That update included 360-degree video tours, informational cards, Street View and much more. But this new update was issued just for Android and Chrome. Today, iOS gets its fair bit of share.
All the features included in the April update will make it to the iOS app too. Google specifically highlights the “Voyager” feature that helps you to find your next travel destination. There are 140 stories available under it. It gives users a tour of some of the best cities around the world. For starters, you can now visit the brown bears of Alaska’s Katmai National Park. Or maybe you want to visit the past. Then just head on to the “Museums around the world” category.

Google also brings “Knowledge Cards”. These just provide some useful info and facts about the places you are looking at. And if you can’t make up your mind, Google want’s you to hit the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button. Moreover, now you can send postcards to friends. That can be done by snapping a picture from a place you are watching in Google Earth.

Student Who Claimed Google Job Being Investigated In Chandigarh

A teenager falsely claimed to have been hired by Google at a package of Rs. 1.44 crore, prompting the Chandigarh Education Department to hold an inquiry into the matter.
GMSSS principal Indra Beniwal told PTI today, "I have submitted all the necessary documents and proof to the Director, Education who has ordered an inquiry."
Harshit Sharma, who completed his 12th standard with IT stream last year from the government school here, hogged the limelight after claiming to have been hired by tech giant for graphic designing.
Public Relations Department, Chandigarh Administration, had on July 29 even issued an official release about it after the school principal sent the department Sharma's "achievement" details.
However, his claims were found to be fake after Google reportedly denied hiring him.
"Harshit's parents have accepted that their son has committed a mistake (by claiming to have been selected by Google)," Ms Beniwal said.

However, she said the school authorities should have verified the claims before sending his details to the department for issuing a press note.
"We should have verified the documents," Ms Beniwal said. She said the UT education department has ordered an inquiry into the matter.
Beniwal said she had not been able to talk to Sharma since this matter came to light. "His mother told me that he was advised by doctors take rest as he was unwell," she said. Sharma hails from Mathana in Haryana's Kurukshetra district.
The press note issued by the department had said, "A student of GMSSS-33D, Chandigarh, Class 12 (IT) stream, Harshit, has been selected for graphic designing by Google. He will be trained for graphic designing for an initial period of one year and will receive a stipend of Rs. 4 lakh per month." "After completion of his training he will get a remuneration of Rs. 12 lakh per month. He went for an online interview through video conferencing and was selected on the basis of posters designed by him while studying in class 12 under the supervision of his teachers," it had said.
"His achievements will act as a morale booster for other students and they will be inspired to make forays into this field," the release had said.

Raksha Bandhan 2017: BSNL launches 'Rakhi pe Saugat' tariff plan with lucrative data and calling benefits

Airtel vs Reliance Jio: Which network is faster in India?

State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has launched a special 'Rakhi pe Saugat' tariff plan with lucrative data and calling offers ahead of the Raksha Bandhan festival.

The new 'Rakhi pe Saugat' pre-paid pack costs Rs 74 and offers 1GB high-speed 4G data per day and unlimited local and STD calls via net. Subscribers will also get 74 minutes off-net talktime. It comes with five days validity.

Interested customers can go nearest BSNL currency recharge booth and get the new data pack. It will be available starting August 3 and will conclude on August 12. The company has also increased data benefits and also talk time in current tariff plans of Rs 189, Rs 289, and Rs 389.

"Maintaining its tradition BSNL is offering such cheapest tariffs on festivities," RK Mittal, Director (CM) BSNL Board said in a statement.

Lately, the competition between incumbent telecom players such as Airtel, Vodafone, Idea, BSNL and the new entrant Reliance Jio has led to a huge price war. In their bid to mitigate mass migration and outrank the rivals, they are risking low returns by launching low-tariff plans with lucrative data benefits.

Jio Phone effect: Idea mulls launching own mobile brand

Now that Reliance Jio Phone (Rs 1,500) is slated to hit stores in September, established players have begun talks with mobile-makers for joint ventures and also some are merging to consolidate their market share.

For instance, British major Vodafone and Aditya Birla-owned Idea are officially in the final stages of merger and they have also initiated talks with OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to build their own-branded mobile handset, but with slightly expensive price-tag of around Rs 2,500.

"We are looking at how much features can be brought down, how much bill of material can be brought down (to reduce prices) and test consumer response in each of these," Himanshu Kapania, the managing director of Idea Cellular Limited, had said in a statement last month.

Unlike Jio Phone, which offers very limited features, Idea-Vodafone will offer the freedom of choice to the customers.

People will be able to select their operator of his/her choice and also access popular applications like Google, Facebook and WhatsApp, among many more apps.

BSNL offering 1 GB data along with talk-time at Rs. 74 for 5 days

Telecom operator BSNL has now started a new offer that will give prepaid users both free data and talk time. The relatively low-priced offer comes as a combo voucher of Rs. 74. For this price, users get 1 GB free data as well as Rs. 74 worth of talk time for other networks. Validity for the plan is just 5 days. Further moving up the ladder, the telco has other combo vouchers priced at Rs. 189, Rs. 289, and Rs. 389 as well that offer more talk time along with the same 1 GB data. The offer will come in to effect from August 3 and end on August 16. The low priced combo voucher has been started keeping in mind the festive occasions coming ahead to provide more freedom to its prepaid users.

“Maintaining its tradition BSNL is offering such cheapest tariffs on festivities,” said Shri R.K.Mittal, Director (CM) BSNL Board. The offer is applicable for 12 days with effect from August 3.
